Raped While on Holiday Abroad?
If you have been raped or sexually assaulted while you were abroad on holiday, then this Rape Crisis Scotland up to date leaflet may be of help to you.
The impact of rape is traumatising wherever it happens, but when you are abroad on holiday in a foreign country there are so many additional factors need to be considered including language barriers, varying laws, communication and of course being afraid and having no or little support.
This leaflet will provide you with information about where you can go for help, and explains about some of the things you might need to think about if you do not feel safe and/or require medical treatment for any injuries you might have sustained.
Rape is never your fault, it is the fault of the perpetrator, but you can have some confusing thoughts during a traumatic time, so it is important that you can access support as soon as possible.
If you have any questions you would like answered you can call LRCC help-line on 01698 527003 or the national help-line on 08088 01 03 02.
